Registration forms are submitted to your county Extension office.  Check with your county office for local due date.  County registrations are due in the state 4-H office by October 15.

In addition to activities at the Quality Inn Hotel, youth will visit the University of Missouri-Columbia campus to participate in workshops and tours related to food and fitness.

Objectives
Youth who attend 4-H Camp Food and Fitness will:

  • Learn more about personal health and well-being
  • Engage in hands-on activities that promote better nutrition and physical fitness
  • Explore college majors and careers in food, nutrition and fitness
  • Meet youth throughout Missouri who share an interest in food, nutrition and fitness

Youth Delegate Information and Registration
Youth age 12-14 enrolled in 4-H foods projects are the primary audience but young people associated with any Extension program are eligible to attend if they are 12-14 years of age. The camp is limited to the first 40 registrants so turn in registration information right away! Registration will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
 
Youth must complete the registration form and youth health form. On the registration form, please note that a 4-H youth staff or other extension staff member must sign the registration form.  Registration is not complete until the registration form, health form, and payment is returned to the State 4-H office.

The cost is $70 per person. The registration fee includes the cost of lodging at the Quality Inn Hotel, meals, and take-home materials. Make checks payable to: Missouri 4-H Foundation.

Check your county 4-H office for local registration deadline.
Submission deadline to the state 4-H office by the counties is October 15.

Refund/Cancellation Policy
Because numbers must be guaranteed with the hotel, conference policy allows no refunds. Delegations may substitute males for males and females for females if they agree to take the same roommates and activity assignments as the original delegate. The deadline for making substitutions is October 15.

Scholarships
4-H Camp Food and Fitness scholarships are available for youth with limited financial resources. A Missouri 4-H youth or other University of Missouri Extension or Lincoln University staff member must nominate eligible youth. To receive a scholarship nomination form, please contact Alison Copeland at 573-882-8807 or copelanda@missouri.edu. Scholarship nomination forms are due in the State 4-H office by October 15.

Program
Camp registration is between 10:00–10:45 a.m. on Saturday.
The camp concludes at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday.
