Livestock Judging Contest held during 4-H Congress

Improved judging skills were on the minds of the 65 4-H participants who attended the two day Livestock Judging Clinic and Contest on June 3-4.  Sheep, beef and swine species were critiqued.

Chip Kemp, University of Missouri animal science instructor, facilitated the event in partnership with the 4-H Center for Youth Development.  "While most youth won’t be professional livestock judges, they will use critical thinking and decision making skills they learn in judging," commented Kemp.
